Valentine Day’s surprise

Hi everyone,

we’re back from the hiatus! Well, temporarily, at least :D Today I’d like to show you some gorgeous dresses that I got from Sexiest Engineer for Valentine’s day. Hope you will forgive that the topic is slightly out of season :D

Although the village has grown considerably from our last post, Eleanor and her daughter still remain the favourites – and so they get special treatment everytime one of us sits down to create something. Perhaps it would be a good time to consider getting them a larger wardrobe (wink wink, Sexiest Engineer?) :D

Anyway, here they are:

As you can see, both the ladies were so excited that they had to try on the dresses right away! And with whom else to share the news than Mrs. Klein at the newly opened Toy shop down on the shopping lane? Unfortunately, they had been a little too eager and when they arrived, the owner was nowhere in sight. Immediately they started to worry about the Rabbit mother, but then they spotted Jia, one of Count Katzenstjärna’s helpers, on her usual morning errand to the bakery. Only then it occured to them to look at the time – and at this hour, Mrs. Klein was likely not even out of the bed yet! Luckily, Jia was kind enough to keep the two company long enough for their friend to arrive~

So, that’s it for today, but I’ve still got plenty of stuff to share with you, so I hope you’ll check back with us again! :3

Evening dress for the little Missy

Hi, everyone,
so still no pink dress, I'm sorry...but there is something at least - I've come to call it the 'little blue' (dress, that is :D) and I sweated blood over this, I swear. So I'm totally not posting a picture of how there is a piece of the skirt missing in the back, that is just too horrible :D
Well, here goes

Not sure if this is obvious, but that is the younger sheep lady, Eleanor's daughter :)

Gift for Eleanor

Hi, everyone,
today I missed the light again, so instead I thought to share a little something to do with Valentine's - Count Katzenstjarna's gift to Eleanor, whom he fancies. This huge bouquet!

I'm pretty sure she'll meet him for a date after being sent this invitation! :)

Eleanor's Autumn/Winter dress collection

Hi guys!
I seriously can't believe somebody is still reading this - and commenting, too! So I wanted to start this post off with a big thank you to our faithful readers, you're great :)
Now, these were made in November when Tiny Lady suddenly decided to go shopping and we paid....well, a lot of beers' worth for fabrics and whatnot (yes, one very educated engineer here, it's fabrics and then mostly just 'those other things' that Tiny Lady needs to make her awesome dresses :D). Then over the course of a single weekend, these two dresses appeared, creating what I've decided to call an Autumn/Winter collection, though I have no idea about fashion at all :D

So, that's that, I'll be back with more - there are three (? I think so :D) more dresses, but I don't have the right light now and pink is orange and so on, so I'll wait a bit :)

Halloween in Sylvania - party in the hamburger joint

So, totally out of season, obviously :D But things have been a bit hot around the place. That doesn't mean new things for our village haven't been crafted, though, so I'll try to catch up - one step at a time. 

Though it is not really the local tradition, we celebrate Halloween - in 2014, it was with a special package ordered from the United Kingdom and a few little handcrafted decorations. And so the young fox Adele had a massive party in the hamburger restaurant she works at. It was a huge success and so she is now planning another promotion for Valentine's day - but all in good time :) 

Now, here is the celebration at its height:

The witch, the baby pumpkin and the pumpkin all belong to the Halloween set (plus a broom and some party decorations that aren't visible in this picture), we added the bat staff and two small origami bats.

Vacation

Hi there,
haven't been here for a while, and I'm so sorry! But it's just as I said it would be: back home there's a lot of work and very little time. But Tiny Lady has been sewing away, so I hope that soon we might get to see her newest creations. I'm writing this on my own while she is sleeping, so I don't know how much I can reveal, but I'll give you a hint: it's got to do with a very typical summer activity! ;) I'd add that it's been looking absolutely adorable so far, but then, all of her creations do, so that's hardly a hint at all :D
Now to pretend she isn't the only one working hard around here: I've also been trying something here and there and there is now a house taking shape on my desk :) Two floors and I'm still working with cardboard, so I'm not sure, but so far it's been holding very well, I think. It's a really big project with a lot of detail - 7 windows and 2 doors, probably, and I'll be making roof tiles by hand, also floors, and so on. So that's probably not going to happen anytime soon :(
Also, we've managed to land a fantastic deal on a vacation in Bulgaria, so we will both be gone between 17th and 28th, so sorry about that, no posts scheduled for then....but we'll think about taking someone with us :) So far we can't decide between wanting a Sylvanian along for the ride and fearing for their well-being...oh well :D But if we do decide to take someone with us to the seaside, we'll be sure to share photos of how they enjoyed the experience! :)

Final touches on the white bedroom set

Alright, so I've finally gotten around to finishing the white bedroom set - adding handles and so on. It was a quick job and very rewarding...in short, nothing like last night and just what I'd needed :D So, here we have it, all together:

Well, the hangers didn't come out as well as I'd hoped, but tough life, I suppose :D It's something.

Now, that's all to the white bedroom set - and it's also the last of my vacation, so...before I pack up, I thought to share a look at all the furniture that's coming home with me after this week. This is shot in the kitchen where I've sat night after night making these things and it's where I've slowly collected them as they came to be :) ...and I think I'll be taking that pink teabag with me as a souvenir :D Though nobody can expect me to drink something as horrible as that....grapefruit tea, really, what is the world coming to.

...so small, not much of an accomplishment there :D

Thanks for reading me this past week, though I've spouted solid nonsense :D I'll try to keep posting from home, but it will hardly be every day, I'm afraid :( I really loved doing this and I'll definitely keep going, but there will be much less time from now on.
